Steven A. Sandler, M.D. has been in practice for 27 years. He graduated from the University of Illinois Medical School. After completing his fellowship at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center, Dr. Sandler became board-certified in internal medicine, hematology and oncology.

As the head of the section of hematology and oncology at several hospitals, Dr. Sandler has treated thousands of patients with blood diseases and cancers. He is an expert in pain control as well as in alleviating the psychological impact from a serious illness.

Dr. Sandler is active in cancer research. He conducts clinical trials through the Cancer Trials Support Unit and has access to the latest research data. For almost three decades, Dr. Sandler has been an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology, attending all meetings that keep him and fellow researchers abreast of the latest development in treatments for cancers and blood diseases.

Dr. Sandler is proud of the extensive experience he offers. He is supported by a team of nurses who have from 25 to 35 years of experience so that questions are always answered and educational material is abundant.
